Thougts On Charlie St. Cloud
- Cliche review joke ahead: The advertising campaign tells us "Life is worth living. Mike tells us "This is worth skipping!"
- Does anyone understand the big dilemma here is Charlie St. Cloud not being able to have a catch with...no one.
- Kim Basinger won an Oscar. She's doing well.
- Zefron attempts to shed his teen boy image. Strike one. Better luck next time
- SPOILER ALERT******
In the film, Mr. St. Cloud begins a relationship with a local sailing phenom. The relationship, as all young love does, leads to passionate love making. We discover that St. Cloud's paramour is in fact dead. AT ANY POINT IN THE SCRIPTING/FILMING PROCESS, DID ANYONE RAISE THEIR HAND AND SAY "YA KNOW, ESSENTIALLY WE ARE INSINUATING THAT CHARLIE ST. CLOUD HAD SEX WITH AIR. I MEAN IF THIS WOMAN IS IN FACT A GHOST, HE BASICALLY IS JUST HAVING SEX WITH NOTHING. WE SHOULD ALSO ASSUME IT WENT TO COMPLETION. CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN THAT?" I guess no one said this so I digress.
